Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and NailSalonMap ("NailSalonMap," "we," "us") about your use of nailsalonmap.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. What NailSalonMap is

NailSalonMap is an online directory that helps people find nail salons. We are not a salon and do not provide nail, beauty or health services. Salons are independent businesses. We do not employ, endorse or guarantee any salon, and any service you receive is between you and the salon.

2. Listing information

Listings combine data from OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL), with information supplied by salons. Listings may be incomplete or out of date, including addresses, hours, prices and services. Please confirm details directly with the salon before you visit. Report a correction to admin@nailsalonmap.com.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. You agree to give accurate information, keep your password secure, and tell us about any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. Member accounts are free.

4. Member deals

• Deals are offered and honored by participating salons, not by NailSalonMap. Each deal may have its own terms, such as expiration dates, new-customer-only limits, or one use per person.
• NailSalonMap takes no commission on deals; you pay the salon directly.
• Deals have no cash value, cannot be resold or transferred unless the deal says so, and are void where prohibited.
• We are not responsible if a salon fails to honor a deal, but please tell us so we can follow up.
• We may remove deals or suspend members who abuse them, for example by creating multiple accounts.

5. Salon owners and paid plans

Claiming a listing. Only a salon's owner or authorized representative may claim or edit its listing. We may ask for proof of authority and may refuse or remove a claim.

Plans. We offer a Free listing and paid Featured and Premium plans. Current features and prices are on the For salon owners page. Premium placement is limited to a set number of salons per city and is available first come, first served.

Billing. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through a third-party payment processor, and renew automatically until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method. Prices do not include any applicable taxes.

Free trial. New paid plans include a 30-day free trial unless stated otherwise. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your plan starts and you will be charged.

Founding-salon pricing. The first 25 salons to upgrade receive 50% off their plan price for as long as their subscription stays active. If the subscription is cancelled or lapses, founding pricing ends and cannot be restored.

Cancellation and refunds. You can cancel at any time, and your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not give credits for partial periods. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Changes take effect at your next renewal.

Salon content. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the information, photos, prices and deals you submit, and for honoring the deals you post. You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload. You grant NailSalonMap a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, adapt and promote that content on and in connection with the Site. This license ends when you remove the content, except for copies kept in backups or already shared.

Placement. Paid plans affect where listings appear. Paid placement is labeled as Featured or Premium. We do not guarantee any particular number of views, clicks, customers or results.

6. Reviews and user content

If we add reviews or other user content, you agree to post only honest content about your own experiences. You may not post anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, infringing or misleading, or anything that contains personal information about others. We may remove any content at our discretion. Salons may not post fake reviews or pay for reviews.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• scrape, copy or bulk-download the Site except as allowed by law and by the ODbL for OpenStreetMap-derived data;
• interfere with the Site's security or operation, or try to gain unauthorized access;
• use the Site to send spam or to collect other users' information;
• impersonate any person or business; or
• use the Site for any unlawful purpose.

8. Affiliate links and third-party sites

The Site may contain labeled affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. Salon listings themselves never contain affiliate links. See our Affiliate disclosure. Links to salons' websites, booking tools, maps and other third-party sites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content, products or practices.

9. Intellectual property

The Site's design, text, logo and software are owned by NailSalonMap or its licensors. OpenStreetMap-derived data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and available under the ODbL. Our database built from that data is made available under the same license where the ODbL requires it. You may not use our name or logo without permission.

10. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ALL LISTINGS, DEALS AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any salon is licensed, safe or suitable for you.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NAILSALONMAP WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS OR DISPUTE ARISING FROM SERVICES PROVIDED BY A SALON. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Some states do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

12. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify NailSalonMap against claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your content, your use of the Site, or your violation of these terms or of the law.

13. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the Site, or remove a listing, at any time if you violate these terms or if we stop offering the Site. You may close your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Warren County, Ohio, and you and NailSalonMap consent to their jurisdiction. Either party may bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and we will notify members and salon owners of material changes by email. If you keep using the Site after changes take effect, you accept the new terms.
